THE STORY BEHIND THE MOTIFS
It started as an idea at the kitchen table – now it has become an entire series of puzzles featuring places we love. Each motif takes shape in roughly the same way: we search for new cities and locations, sketch by hand, illustrate digitally, and put great care into the details. We want every puzzle to feel like a small journey, filled with things you recognize. Here you can follow how our puzzles are created – from the first stroke of a pen to the finished product.

INSPIRATION
We start by discovering a new city – often you are the ones who give us tips! We visit the place, talk to the locals, and explore what makes this particular city or place unique. Once we have decided which buildings and people to include, we start sketching – often with paper and pen, just like in the old days.

ILLUSTRATION
Once we have a clear picture of the subject, we begin illustrating digitally using a Wacom Cintiq Pro. We always work together, but each of us has our own specialities that complement each other. An illustration takes about a month to complete – we take great care to capture the right feel of the place and ensure that the details truly reflect its unique character.

PRINTS & COLOR
Once the illustration is complete, it is sent to the printer. But first comes a fun part – choosing the color of the box. We want the color to capture the feeling of the place and reflect its character. All our puzzles are printed by TREFL with high-quality materials, and our posters are printed on Fine Art Paper for the best possible color reproduction and durability.
